Nacional will play two home matches without fans after the AUF Disciplinary Commission punished the club over incidents at Gran Parque Central. The sanction does not include any loss of points.
Assault on a Maldonado supporter
The most serious episode came during the match against Deportivo Maldonado, when a flask thrown from the stands by a Nacional supporter struck a visiting fan in the face. As a result, the club must serve two behind-closed-doors fixtures. The first of them comes in round 14 of the Clausura, when Nacional hosts Albion at the GPC without its own supporters.
Fine after the Liverpool match
Separately, Nacional was fined 100 adjustable units, equivalent to $194,897, over the incidents at its ground during the game against Liverpool.
Liverpool also punished
Liverpool received a closed-door sanction of its own. In the final round of the Clausura, the club will face Wanderers at a venue yet to be determined, and its supporters will not be allowed in the stands.
