Nacional will not open the Scarone stand to its supporters for the upcoming match against Albion, following incidents involving the club’s fans in its two most recent home games at the Gran Parque Central.
Clashes with rival supporters
In both of those matches, the tricolor faithful came into contact with the supporters of Deportivo Maldonado and Liverpool, leading to the decision to restrict access to the stand usually reserved for the club’s most passionate fans.
The measure reflects the club’s concern about crowd behaviour at the Montevideo ground, and it will apply to the fixture against Albion.
