Chapecoense has confirmed the departure of midfielder Bruno Matias, the first move in what looks like a significant reshaping of the squad for the next season.
A two-season stint ends
The 27-year-old joined the club at the start of last season and made 55 appearances in the Chapecoense shirt over that time. He has been a regular in 2026, playing 16 matches: two in the Copa do Brasil and 14 in Série A.
More changes expected
According to ge, at least six more players are expected to leave the club by the early part of next week. A large share of the players whose contracts run out at the end of this year are also unlikely to have them renewed for 2027.
Bruno Matias’s exit is the first concrete sign of the changes the club is planning as it looks to rebuild its squad ahead of the coming campaign.
